What social media channels do we manage?
Facebook. Twitter. LinkedIn. Pinterest. Instagram. YouTube. - but there are many others we try for different marketplaces too.
You'll typically find that your target audience tend to use one or two social channels the most, but the best way to discover which are likely to work best for you, is to try as many as possible first. There are no rules as to what will work best for your business, but it's easy to forget that social media is all about being social. Offering help, advice, tips, contributing to conversations and engaging people outside of your subtle product promotion is the key to it's success, and if we (or you) are providing customers with content, determining which platform will engage, is part of your bigger social strategy. If you have a tonne of instructional videos, tips, product walkthroughs or daily advice then YouTube or Instagram might be a better focus, whereas providing Infographics or visual content would be better suited to Pinterest.
